Some choose to spend Labor Day Weekend lounging, relaxing by the beach or pool with family and friends; others enjoy cocktails, music, and dancing. Let’s face it, LDW is one more chance to enjoy Summer and forget your worries before heading back to work/school. Whatever tickles your fancy, we’ve got you dialed in on the event of choice.
Sunday, September 2, 2012, find us at Pacific Festival: The Dunes – a waterfront soirée featuring a wide array of musical talent. Get down to groovy tunes of Yacht on beachside stages or bask out on water floats while being serenaded by Mayer Hawthorne – whatever it is, it’s your choice. Between three stages, there is something for everyone! We promise it will be a good time. Also, MDA resident, Kedd Cook is playing on the Identity stage at 1pm, so get there early and we’ll see you on the dance floor!

This weekend, halfway around the world, in a land far, far away…(Netherlands to be exact) people gather together to celebrate life and music. Mysteryland is the name of our new favorite music festival. From the lineup to production to travel accommodations, this festival has you dialed in. 13 stages feature artists ranging from Avicii to Cassius to Aeroplane to Seth Troxler to Laura Jones – everyone and their mother will be there. Furthermore, last years production was definitely on point – the main stage featured a gigantic Disney-like castle with LED, fire, and fireworks blasting out of it. Check out the video below for a taste of last year’s spectacular staging.

Mysteryland also offers very attractive sleepover and travel packages. Literally you just select what you want and go. They provide everything from hotel, flight, ground transport, as well as after party accommodations. Next year we are definitely not gonna miss this, until then catch us in Chile this December for Mysteryland Chile. Cheers.
“Yesterdays history. Todays a gift. Tomorrows a mystery.”
Culprit just announced upcoming dates at The Standard Rooftop and we approve!
+ September 9th with Matt Tolfrey, Laura Jones and Gavin Herlihy
+ September 23rd with Subb-an and Miguel Campbell
+ October 14th Closing with Guy Gerber and a very special live act
Only Australian native, Light Year (Bang Gang Records) can pull-off a fake Louis Vuitton. However, it’s beyond the artist’s knock-off logo that gets our attention. Techno legend Jordan Feller is known for his dirty lows and groovy beats. Feller’s track Moderation received some heavy press six months ago. Adding to the hype, a week ago he released his latest edit of the track, which has had massive reviews. Good things are in forecast for Light Year. Check out the tracks below and if you like what you hear be sure to stop by La Cave tomorrow (August 22, 2012) to hear him live alongside special guest Tamara Sky.
Watch the original Moderation:
Tamara Sky has made her rounds in the Los Angeles music scene. Co-producer of Lil Death (a Sunday soirée we highly suggest you all check out), Tamara Sky is a gal of many trades: music producer, designer, and model are just a few to name. Dance to the beat of her drum tomorrow and see what Tamara Sky is all about.

Well, it’s that time of year again, time for Get Lost LA. Our friends from Crosstown Rebels and Insomniac Events teamed up to present a night to remember [or maybe not ;)]. We will be getting lost this Saturday, August 25th (10pm-6am) at Exchange LA and grooving out to sounds by Jamie Jones, Damian Lazarus, Art Department, and many more (including La Cave ambassador Droog). Limited tickets are available via the link below. Also, “find” us Sunday at The Standard Downtown for Culprit Sessions (w/ Richy Ahmed, Jamie Jones, and La Cave ambassador Lee Foss) and a day filled with dolls, drinks, and disco…

Special thanks to everyone who made it out to La Cave last night! Guests Raíz (Droid Behavior) and Sleepyhead absolutely killed it. It was a pleasure to have two performers reppin’ both the West and East Coast flavor. We are very grateful to continue doing what we love – bringing big talent to Costa Mesa. Photos from last night will be available soon on our website http://followmda.com as well as on our Facebook! Exclusive interviews from last night will be showcased soon, alongside other goodies… Be sure to come back next Wednesday for Light Year and Tamara Sky – you won’t wanna miss this show!
P.S. please be sure to like us on our Facebook Page 😉 Cheers.
